Glock 17 or Sig P226

If you're concerned about using standard cap mags in either the Sig or the Glock, used ones for the Sig will be less expensive than for the Glock. Don't know how "new" prices compare.

Glock 17 and my next choice just because I own one is the Beretta 92 FS, why? cause I like my hi cap mags, and the fact that I don't have to spend a mint to get more.

Glocks have a lot going for them in reliability and overall value. I still prefer the Sig P226. They are very accurate and also very reliable. The Sig's higher bore axis is a minus, especially if you are used to 1911 pistols. The Sig's finish is not as durable as the Glock. The Sig's accuracy is superior and the feel in my hand is better. The P226 is large for concealed carry. You really would not go wrong with either pistol. Best. Watch-Six

"High cap mags are everywhere for the Glocks and I love that."

Standard capacity mags, from SIG or Mec-Gar [15 or 17 rounds], are less expensive than Glock MLDF mags. There seems to be a more plentiful supply of reasonably-priced mags for SIGs than for Tupperguns.

Neither of the designs for Klinton mags is very good, but the SIG 10-rounders usually work better than the Glock 10-rounders.

And with a SIG, you don't have to hassle with a krunchenticker trigger.

Were I forced to buy a Glock, I'd have to go with a smaller frame...but then, nobody's going to force me to buy a Tuppergun.

My advice...buy the P226. You will not regret it.
