Personal preferences aside, all of the guns named in the poll are excellent handguns. I guess there are some guns sold today that are poorly designed or manufactured, but for the most part (in my limited experience), most major brands make excellent guns. Ironically, some more expensive guns have had reliability problems for me (the Kimber Ultra Carry comes to mind) but that might have more to do with barrel length than with the brand or type of gun. I find it almost silly to make a big issue out of which Glock is better. Personally, my Glock 17 is about the most reliable handgun I have ever owned, fires very accurately, and allows me to mount a Streamlight on the rail. But for carry, after considering the Glock 26 and having experience with the S&W Shield, I ended up with the Ruger LC9s, which I have found to be accurate, reliable, an excellent trigger, and as easily concealable as anything I have ever had. We live in a wonderful age in terms of quality guns being available at reasonable prices where I think one can hardly go wrong nowadays with selecting a quality handgun.
