Glock 10mm

These rounds were reloads this shop had sold local police officer years earlier, the boxes still had their shops price tag on the box. The officer I had retired and sold his 10mm and wanted to get rid of his surplus ammo. It was an unusual kaboom for sure and my first one in decades of shooting. Lets just say I have retired the rest of this batch of ammo.

Glock 29 for me, my woods gun. Like the smaller size, but have a 20 mag and sleeve for my spare.;)

It replaced a pristine Delta Elite, for it's finish durability.

The reverse for me.
The longest that I continually/consistently carried a single model firearm was seven years with a model 29. CC and out in the woods.

Then I changed that to my original unenhanced Delta Elite. That was getting to be closer to seven years ago.

I do mix up carry far more these days than I did back in the Glock-era; carried 29, 30, 21 and the 20 (the 20 not so much back then.) Mostly shoulder holstered the larger and OWB the smaller.

Tripp mag with the Delta Elite and the gap closes compared to the 29.

I found that I shoot the 1911 platform better than the Glock. So I sold all of my Glocks and now carry revolvers and 1911s.

Everything old is new again. But, whatever floats your boat! And if the ice ever melts off the lakes and rivers, mine will be in the water soon!!!

I had a G20 and sold it. I have big hands, or thought I did, but it just felt too big for me in the grip and I normally carry a double stack .45 Kimber or Para

reload

Have an early G20 and like it for many of the aforementioned reasons.

But I cannot fully endorse a 10mm unless you shoot very little, or are a reloader.
Ammo is certainly available, but do not plan to stroll into the local Wally World or like retailer, and pick up a box of 10mm. Even LGS's often do not routinely stock 10mm.

Besides that, my G20 is a reliable, compact (when compared to a like powered mag revolver) suitably powerful, rugged pistol.

I first bought the G29 and it's my edc gun. It is reliable, although for me it doesn't feed reliably when using the full-sized G20 magazines. Some folks don't have trouble. I suppose I could go on-and-on about the G29, but the fact I chose to carry it most of the time when I have many other choices in the drawer probably says it all. It is fun to shoot, comfortable and of course, 11 rounds of 10mm firepower comin' atcha.

I also have the G20 and call it my 'nightstand' gun, although it's seldom on my nightstand, shame on me. It too is perfectly reliable--no more nor any less than any other gun I own--and is comfortable to shoot. For whatever reason, I don't enjoy it as much as the G29. I think I've grown accustomed to somewhat smaller pistols and seem to prefer them in many cases.

And of course, Glock's 3rd offering in 10 is now hitting the shelves--the G40 longslide. To my eye, Glocks start out butt-ugly and get uglier the bigger they get, and the longslide is the most grotesque in the lineup yet. But, I'm sure it's a fine range toy/hunting pistol and especially fun when equipped with the red dot.

The 29 is at the top of my list of useful handguns that I truly get along with. I personally put it and the MP45c at the very top of my 'recommended' list for ccw weapons. There's nothing 'overkill' about the 10mm in my opinion--one doesn't have to load the round to 'squirt the case out of the gun' levels to be impressive, and it affords a double-stack configuration and capacity that's relatively compact.

My opinion of 10mm Auto is extremely biased--for me and what I consider important, it is a Perfect 10 auto pistol cartridge; I don't believe there is a better choice a person can make provided they feel comfortable and confident with it. AFAIK, there is no better carry gun for 10mm than the G29--and I don't consider myself a Glock 'fan' by any means.
