Give Thanks, Respect and Honor--Memorial Day

Two more veterans I would like to remember.

The late owner of Palmer's Hardware, Waynesboro, Georgia: Lt. John Theodore Palmer, US Army Air Corps, B-25 pilot & German POW-shot down over Germany- WWII.

Dr. Bentley, retired chiropractor, US Army Air Corps, B-25 pilot, veteran of the bombing raids on the Ploesti oil fields of Rumania, WWII.

Grandpa was in the Seabees in Dubya-Dubya-Eye-Eye. Toughest old fart I've ever met, and the only member of my family I ever really respected.

How does it become a man to behave toward this American government to-day?
I answer, that he cannot without disgrace be associated with it.

Dad was in the 3rd Marines WWII. Guam, Bougainville, Iwo Jima. Joined at 15 yrs. old when his dad helped him falsify his papers. He just wanted to join so he did in August of '41 before festivities broke out. After the war, he met my mom, went back to high school, then college. Joined Army reserves, retiring as a Lt. Colonel, airborne and special forces qualified. I am damned proud of him.

Motorep, very sorry to hear about your Dad.
God bless him. My dad's 72 now and I don't look forward to the day...

Chris.
