While my reply probably doesn't belong here, here goes.
It's common knowledge that abuses of power occur in every place of employement in our world. That's the way it is.
I happen to know a County Attorney, who's husband was busted for possesion of marijuana several years back. Yes, the officers did their job, and arrested him, and seized the evidence.
What's interesting about the case, was that the charges (i.e. paperwork) was apparently lost, and when finally found, the evidence was somehow misplaced. Net result was the case was dropped in the interests of Justice.
Now, it should seem relatively clear that at least a few officers were willing to do their job, even bucking the administration to do that. Hell of a lot of guts there!!!
Now, whatever happened to the rest of the case, can only be poison those officers' work.
Somehow the system failed them, it failed all of us. I would like to think that there was an internal problem in that PD, but it didn't affect all the officers there.
I also remember when the County Sheriff caught me and a girlfriend with a case of beer, getting ready for the starting bell !
He was going to dump the beer, and let us go, but his younger partner forced the issue, and we, rather I was arrested. The girl was taken home.
Oh well, that's life you know. Who knows what we would have procreated that night.
Best Regards,
Don

The most foolish mistake we could make would be to allow the subjected people to carry arms; history shows that all conquerers who have allowed their subjected people to carry arms have prepared their own fall.
