Me and Killer45auto went by Hot Shots yesterday 3/31/2000 and spent about an hour on the range. It is a decent range, where they put us at was dark, and forget about saving your brass with an auto. Otherwise, they have about 10 lanes and the range is set up real nice. Heck, you can not find bettter people running the Gun Store and Range, I feel like I could hang out there all day and shoot the breeze. If you have some extra money, bring it cause from what we have found they have some real good gun prices.

I think they have a web-site, but the address escapes me at the moment. Will post the link when I find it, unless someone else beats me to it.

I've used the HotShots range many times over the past year and as was previously posted, it's decent. They have 8-10 lanes and this indoor range is DARK. Forget about finding your spent brass if you're a reloader(I've carried CCI Blazer to HotShots so I don't worry about lost brass) and I'd recommend that you bring your own ammo rather than buy it at HotShots cause they're pricy. The main attraction to HotShots is their prices on firearms, which I've always found to be lower than their competition in this area. If you're looking for a very nice facility check out River Bend Gun Club up around Canton. HotShots has recently put up a website that can be found at the following URL: http://www.hotshotsga.com/

River Bend also has a website that can be found at the following URL: http://www.rbgc.org/

Have fun and good shooting next Saturday...Dan in GA

I think I'm off that day. I'll try and make it.

I usually go to Wolf Creek in Douglasville, Ga. They have a really nice indoor range (blows Hot Shots' range away) *AND* an interactive video simulation shooter with thousands of scenarios that they can run you through (including "Drug Wars" :))It allows you to use live ammo instead of gimp sim guns.

Maybe some of us can meet at Wolf Creek sometime and run through the sim. We could probably get it for a Saturday afternoon if enough people are interested. Whattya say?

Let me know and I'll set it up.

BTW, Hot Shots usually does have good prices on guns but sometimes Adventure Outdoors on South Cobb Drive beats them considerably. They're worth checking with if you're shopping for something.

Oh the way i go is I take south cobb to windy hill rd. then take a left on windy hill and go to the end which dead ends onto austell rd and turn left and as soon as you turn left look back to your left and you will see it .It is almost at the corner of windy hill and austell rd.

hope this helps

Ben, I'll try to make it as well. It would be nice to meet some folks.

Yeah, Adventure Outdoors is right around the corner from Hot Shots, bought my latest gun last Friday at Adventure Outdoors, got a good price. :)

Hmmmm, guess we might need to call Hot Shots and see if they are going to be open, eh?

This is what Javadog from GT said:

"Hot Shots is just around the corner from me. I will plan to be there on the 8th. BTW, they are open until 8PM but they want shooters off the range by a quarter till."

I just took his word for it. I'll double check this Sunday. I like Pannels... far more personal than Ed's. Let's plan on HS until we hear otherwise though.

If they close, we'll herd up the group and drive over to Adventure Outdoors... never been there either.

Ben, Please be advised if you don't already know: Adventure Outdoors does not have a range. They are a fine store. I usually go there 2-3x's a week to shop. I buy all my ammo there and most of my guns as they are the most competitively priced in the area that I have found. Looking forward to the eigthth.

Anybody interested in going to Wolf Creek? It's only about 20 minutes from Hot Shots. Let me know if anyone is interested. I'll find out their Saturday hours tomorrow.

Let me know.

Name a place and a time, and I should be able to make it, unless something comes up. A little earlier in the mid- to late- afternoon would be even better. Saturday morning doesn't work for me at all.

Doh! Damn! (and, I coulda sworn I posted that I might be able to make it, before that "cancelled" was input)

All of my edits were erased for some reason. Along with several resonses.

Spectre... We're still on.

For some reason, about a half dozen messages are now missing from this post.

you DID post... I read it. We are on for 3:00 this Saturday.
