George Lucas/Star Wars/Nazi Helmets/and The Rifle Chewbacca Carried around

NAZI, George Lucas and US Helments

Gave you taken a look at the simularity between the NAZI, George Lucas and US Helments. Interesting...

Well that Helmet design is apparantly the best design out there. I guess thats why our guys said forget who came up with it lets stick to what's the best way to protect your scalp.

Vader's helmat is a KABUTO, not a swiss army job.. sheesh no samurai in his own right would be caught ded in an ordinary 'fritz' helmet.

and George Hill.. shame on you for missing the modified FN/FAL on tatooine in the first film, its almost as prevalent as MG-34's and 42's.. though the whole front end is encased in a mufffler pipe.

Notice the variety of AK's and Valmets on Hoth and Endor.. apparently freedom fighters the universe-over use Sgt. Kalishnikov's rifle.

The scope on Han's pistol just looks cool.. notice ith the first film its off-set to allow brass to eject/load blanks where as in later films the scope sits right on top.. evidence that the prop guns are now butane firing non guns (see logan's run)

But i always like that about star wars.. the technology looks more real, more functional.

See - thats one of the reasons Star Wars is so good and realistic - they had REAL GUNS in it.
This cant carry a movie on its own... I mean heck - WING COMMANDER had real guns in it! (AK Variant modified for a couple scenes)
BUT
Star Wars was so good - the added detail and realism was icing on the cake.

Episode 4 A New Hope

On Tatooine one of the Sandtroopers is carrying an FAL with a hunk of muffler pipe over the barrel, this weapon shows up again in Mos Eisly. I think its supposed to be a grenade launcher.

I was in a camera store, and a guy explained where the light saber ? came from.

They are the handles off of the flashguns used by '50's Speed Graflex's. (old 4 X 5 view cameras)

Dunno, may be same model used by Jimmy Stewart in "Rear Window".

Razor you are correct. Hard to find a flash like that thanks to fans pillaging garage sales and swap meets.

However, I WAS WRONG (yikes) I saw the photo I THOUGHT was an FN-FAL (looking t the stock) turns out its a lewis gun.. my BAD and apologies all around.
