Gentlemen, what's the RANGE membership fees where you live?

I don't shoot much at our club unless I'm putting on a rifle clinic or shooting a match (I have my own range) but the Membership Fee is $35 per year (family membership), We have an indoor range and a rifle range to 300 yards.

(Weston County Sportsman's Club)

I'm also a member of the Spearfish, SD club, its $20 per year, they have both a pistol and rifle range (100 yard rifle - 50 yard pistol). I belong to that one because its a requirment to shoot their every other week pistol matches.

Our gun club is $80.00 per year for the family
indoor 25 yd pistol range
outdoor 25 & 50 yd pistol
combat range
archery range with tree stand playform
50 Yd plinking range
trap field
100, 200 and 300 yd rifle range

There are no public ranges near Lawton, OK. i use the Ft. Sill private weapons range and my own range in Garvin county.

After reading this thread I feel like I'm getting screwed!!

$350/yr includes indoor only 25/yard handgun. Additional $75/yr for rifle up to .308.

Biggest perk is member only hours on the weekends. Other than that nothing special.

The range I am a member of is $100.00/year.

That's for 2 skeet ranges, 1 co-located trap range on one of the skeet ranges, a 50yd (currently 25 due to some ongoing improvements) pistol range with steel targets, and a 100yd rifle range that can be streched out to 300yds if you're the only group there. Skeet (or clays, whatever, I still call it skeet) is $2.50/25 for a member, $3.50/25 for a guest. We are also scheduled to have an archery range installed.

We have a shooting competiton once a month or so and I generally win my entrance fee back. Once a year in December we have a .22LR match and general giveaway, I have yet to pay more in dues than what I win in a year. (Not that I'm that good, we have 300 members and only 15-20 show up at each shoot. works for me :) )

My club is $50/yr for family. Local range is $75 and $100 initiation fee. Rifle ranges closed on weekends. It is one of those shotgun clubs that happens to have a rifle range.

Local (21 mi away) public range is by donation. I belong to the conservation club that maintains it for the DNR. I dont pay but work on maintenmance days.

Too many shooters think the wooden posts are for posting targets directly on. yuk. I have seen it twice and ceased fire and asked em to move targets. The response "I never thought of that!!"

$195 first year, $95 each year after. That gets you several firearms ranges from 100 to a 7yds along with two archery ranges ( field and woods), and access to the clubhouse. There's also a pattern testing station for shotgun.

Around here (central Texas) outdoor range is $65.00 year. I am LEO so it's free for me but I do go about once or twice a month to look for brass. I shoot almost daily im my yard. We live in the country.

I pay $55 a year for the club a few miles from my house. Indoor range (additional $5 each time) for winter; outdoor range has 25, 50, 100, and 200 yard distances, archery range, skeet/trap range.

The other one has 25 yard dedicated pistol range, and 25/50/75/100 yard rifle ranges, as well as skeet/trap... $35 a year for family

When I see how much some of you pay, it makes me grateful I live in VT

Megasports in Plainfield, Il, $20 flat fee. No rifle rounds or shotguns. Two seconds between each shot.

Rink's in Lockport, Il, $9 flat fee. No rifle rounds or shotguns. Less strict but very dim lighting and no climate control.

Article 2 in Lombard, il. $20 flat fee. Allows rifles and shotgun slugs. Indoor and only 75 ft range.

Red River Firearms in Sherman, Tx. 75ft indoor range with 10 lanes. ~climate controlled~ (Sorta) $235/year unlimited.

Three ranges in my area:

Indoor, heavily geared toward competition, minimal centerfire lanes, no centerfire rifle, "bullseye" type targets only--- I think it runs $35 a year.

Outdoor, 100 yard rifle, no other official uses--- it's like $25 a year plus 10 hours minimum volunteer at the club, extra $100 in fees if you don't do any work

Outdoor, 100, 300 rifle, 25, 50 pistol, skeet and trap, $30 a year, no other fees.

Guess which one I joined?:D

There are 3 in the area around here.

One is Cameron it is an indoor pistol range. .22 Lr rifles are allowed as well. Cost is $15 per day open Tue thru Sun. $100 yearly membership gets you unlimited range time for the year. I go there when it is rainy.

One is the local gun club. NRA membership required. Yearly dues are $65 last time I heard. They have an outdoor pistol, and rifle range. They have the designated area to shoot clays as long as you provide a mechanical thrower. They are very anal about safety (which I agree with). One meeting a month is required on the first Mon of the month at an overpriced greasy spoon with awful service from 8pm to 10pm. (There has been a mas exodus of members as of late. The atmosphere has changed to a bunch of arrogant snobs running things from what I have heard from more than a few people.)

The other is a privately owned public range. Prices are:
$30 for a full day
$15 for an hour
$200 a year lump sum for pistol, and rifle range
$250 Pistol, rifle, and discounted price per flurry on the clays. (Skeet, trap, and 5 stand.)
$21 monthly with debit, or credit card recurring charge for one year. If you wish to extend after that you can.
Range master is present on Sat and Sun
They are closed for upkeep on Mon, and Tue.

This thread has been so informative.

In a very disappointing way, I realize I'm paying the highest price for membership.

$399/year for a platinum membership. The only perk is a legit discount on ammo. I would have gone with $250/year but the savings/discount is substantial.

Otherwise, a steep price to engage in the act that shouldn't be so expensive.

These are the hidden elements that turn this sport so damn expensive but it could certainly be more costly if I didn't train as much as I do.

$50.00 year. Gulf Rifle and Pistol Club, Port St Joe, FL. All outdoor. 35 yard pistol, 50, 100, 200 and 300 rifle. Trap range. Great people and a great range.

Sportsmen Club, Pa. Senior Citizen rate = $65.00 year.
Regular rate -$85.00 per year
Lifetime Membership $800.00

Best Club on the East Coast. Indoor range, outdoor ranges up to 400yds. Outdoor pistol ranges, trap shooting. Indoor 22 range. Indoor Archery range, outdoor archery ranges. Sits on approx. 350acres of wooded farm land. I believe they have about 2200 members at the moment. They have all kind of meets, cowboy, military, police. They have shooting teams for the youth and the teenagers, including adults. They have NRA firearm training. Plus a lot of other things I am probably not aware of.
