Geena Davis, leader of the free world?

Nothing I've seen except the fact that she's a woman gives me that indication yet.
You left out that it's a hollywood-MSM production, which is a pretty powerful indication of which way it'll lean, all things considered.

Ok, not much you can do about.

Just finished the first episode. Seemed pretty good to me.

**SPOILERS**

She ordered a military strike to save a woman from execution. Didn't quite catch everything. But on the show, she is an independent. I think you guys should at the very least, watch more than one episode before passing judgement.

Geena is a friend, I have known her for ten years and we used to practice archery together occasionally when I lived in Los Angeles. I still personally select and supply her bows. I have never seen her current show beause I just don't watch TV very much.

She and I have never discussed politics in any depth. However, I can tell you that she was a strong supporter of Algore.

However, she took a serious liking to guns while filming a movie in the mid 90's, which is actually what led her to take up archery in 1996 (because she couldn't find a place to shoot guns conveniently in SoCAL). With a bow she can practice at the studio on breaks and between takes (and she indeed does).

That's enough for me to forgive her political views to some extent :)

Rob P. speaks of Banning N.Y. because of their having Mrs. William Clinton as a Senator. This is the second or third time N.Y. has foisted a pololitician of her ilk. Remember the Kennedy Senator (I think he was a Senator, if not he was in the house). In both cases NY gave up 50% of their Senatorial representation so that a non New Yorker could get elected. If I remember correctly Buckley did the same. They claim to be New Yorkers - Yeah Riiiight! I'm sure these outsiders really had the interests of New York foremost in their hearts and minds - Yeah Riiiiiight! Were I a New yorker, ( I was born and raised there but left a loooong time ago), I would be doing everything in my power to change the quirk in their laws that permits such an outrage. I don't understand why NY's aren't outraged anyhow. Can someone enlighten me?

I'm sure that the socialist powers that be at the network will see to it that the writers will portray Davis' character as a "token woman" who is treated shabbily by the mean old men (read: Republicans) in the administration as she struggles with valor to do the right thing for America.
I think that is a good summation.

wait a sec. The plot (if y'all have it right) sounds like one out of Heinlein's Expanded Universe. MAYBE some exec read the book, and liked the idea?

I would like Condi to be Pres. She's nice to look at

Well she was before her political days:
