Gaucho 357 Revolver In Sundance Polished Stainless Steel

Much earlier in this thread, I had posted a question as to if the Gaucho frames were steel or alloy. In the recent article on the Gaucho in 'American Rifleman', the frames are reported as steel, consistent with what William found out further up the thread. So it sounds as if they might be a pretty tough little revolver.

Hey Russ

I didn't buy it YET. My dealer can't find one. I'm looking at a Taurus 689, SS, 4" .357, and passed up another LNIB Model 19.

But there is still plenty of time for the will thing. My doctor just told me I'm looking very good. Never mind he looks only 17... :D

I would,nt worry about .005 bc gap. Most cas guns need this because you are firing just lead. I just bought a Ruger Alaskan and the bc gap is so tight that if I shoot lead 45lc I can,t shoot more then 3 rds and cylinder won,t turn. Lead is dirty and gums up the works. Don,t know much about Tauras, but have,nt been happy with Smith or Ruger of late. Seems like qc is right out the window with these two companys, sure they repair when you send gun to them, but seems that you should,nt have too.
