G19 or CZ P07 or ??

Between the two it usually boils down to whether there is a preference between hammer fired of striker fired or in this case cost seems to be a significant factor.

My choice between the two would be Glock 19 regardless of extra cost.

For me advantages of Glock 19:

Smaller, lighter, and thinner.

I like the Glock 19 trigger better. Decent pull, same trigger pull every time, and better reset.

I like the slide better on the Glock 19. I don't really like the skinny slide on a CZ. No big deal at the range but I prefer a larger grasping area for CCW pistol.

Lower bore axis on the Glock 19.

The Glock 19 points better for me, meaning I point it where I want the bullet to go and when I line up the sights it is right on or very close.

Much easier to field strip the Glock 19.

Like the controls on the Glock 19 better. Not a fan of the huge controls on the left side of the P07.

I find both are great shooting pistols for me but for CCW the Glock 19 wins for me.

I have owned more 9mm handguns that I care to admit. I have experimented with just about every new Johnny Whiz Bang pistol that came out. Or at least it seems that way. After many years, and many dollars, I still have Glocks. Everything else has either gone by the wayside, or just sits in the back of my safe. I can count the malfunctions I have had on one hand, and they were ammo related.

I was a slow convert. I was a skeptic. My first was a Gen 1 M17. But as time passed, it became evident to me, that Glock is what I need in a handgun. Accurate, durable, and reliable.

There is no bad choice there. I have owned and shot numerous Glocks and CZ's. I like the feel of the CZ's a little better, but they are both fine pistols.

The only slightly better choice would've been the CZ PCR. The PCR and Rami are my favorite all-round pistols with the Mod 2 9mm & .45 close behind. I arrived at this point after going through almost 40 pistols in 10 years. These have stuck with me the longest.

I handled a Rami at the show. In "short" version (with the 10 round magazine) it ended up being a slightly higher capacity wider version of my P938. In "long" version I did not care for the magazine. I really don't appreciate extended magazines and how they attempt to fill in the grip.

My P938 is just pocketable. I did not judge that the Rami would be. The gun got serious consideration because I wondered if it would replace both the P938 as a pocket gun and fill my desire for a larger belt gun with higher capacity - a role the P938 had been filling minus the capacity.

Yeah, the Rami isn't a pocket pistol. It IS as accurate as anything I've had (except that PPQ45) and it's gorgeous in the tungsten finish mine was cerakoted with. XS Big Dot night sights are on all of my pistols now, too. My 58 yr old eyes like 'em!
