As for GI JOE, I am old enough to remember the original, before the fuzzy hair and Kung fu grip. 12", fully jointed, guns, knives, grenades, uniforms, it was all good. And pretty accurate too.

Glad I'm not the only guy here of that age!

That was also a time when having toy guns and playing shooting games was considered natural and not "politically incorrect and promoting violence."

In terms of the new GI Joe ...

I understand he now wears a blue helmet, his "kung fu" grip has been replaced by a "white flag wave" and he has multiple phrases that he says. Like ...

"Stop murdering those civilians or we will flee the country."

"Hand over your weapons. We will protect you from the safety of our compound in the next province. No, we don't have a phone. When the militia comes try doing everything they say and maybe they'll let you live."

"Good thing this is just a mass murder of Christians and not some respectable religion; we might have to get involved!"
