Future First Time Buyer

We can't answer this question for you, but many of us have a whole safe full of "first and only carry guns" and a closet full of "first and only" holsters that we moved on from for whatever reason.

Good answer. I've way more than I need and still searching.

There is no best option for everyone. You have to shoot and be comfortable and confident with ANY gun you carry. I carried an xd subcompact for a while in and uncle mikes iwb holster. I now prefer a ruger sr9c with a crossbreed holster. For me, the ruger feels better in my hand, is easier to conceal, is reliable, and accurate. 9mm is a good caliber to start with, cheap to practice with, packs a punch, and most carry pistols have at least 10 rounds. Just my opinion
