Full-Sized Pistol Carry...Who Does it?

Colt's LWC (light weight commander) is a breeze to carry, compared to the steel guns. I've carried one in .38 Super quite a bit. I think Sig's new 320 carry is going to be great, but the full size is going to work out as well, for those who can manage the larger size.

So I am now carrying a Sig P226 in OWB pancake holster with a spare mag in it's own carrier on the other side.

And....it is much easier to conceal than I ever imagined.

Back into the safe you go, Combat Commander.

Carrying a full size gun is all about the gear. A quality holster and belt make all the difference, shoddy equipment won't hold up to weight of a full size gun and mags.
I carry a full size Colt 1911 in a Garrett Silent Thunder 2.0 STX and use a 5.11 gun belt that has a stiffener sewn into it. The rig conceals well and is all day comfortable.

I carry a Remington SR1 1911 with a 5 inch barrel in a Galco IWB holster. I find that the 5 inch barrel length makes no difference in how concealable the pistol is with this rig and the flat nature of a 1911 carries and conceals quite nicely.
