hnkg3, speaking only for myself, I respect your decision but suggest you may be throwing out the baby with the bathwater.

I am not at all impressed with the NRA's record of giving our gun rights away, and suggesting all the major gun control laws of the last century. How do you support such an organization?

The purpose of this thread is for those that are interested in doing so; to increase the ranks of the NRA.

If you are not interested in doing this, please feel free to start another thread discussing any issues you may have with the NRA. A discussion on such a topic, though done before, would be welcome.

Otherwise, let the members involved do as they wish, unmolested.

Thanks a bunch! :)

Add me to the list of sponsors, please. I owe somebody one for TheBluesMan's generosity to me earlier this year now that I can afford it.

Hey, does this mean I have to buy 'em a TFL shirt, too?

I would like to join, but I don't have a job because I go to school. I'm 19 and ready to do my part even though I can't by a handgun due to stupid politics! I will break the Generation X stereotype and vote this coming November!

Incursion, you should have received a reply from me at 8:56am EST, 7 August 2000. Just checked my email at 2:00pm and hadn't seen anything else from you - leave me a note here if you don't receive my email by tomorrow.

I think you missed the GenX deadline.. it ws in 1978. :) However, like you -- I will be buying an NRA membership shortly as well. Check out the GOA too! www.gunowners.org

Hellifino when the "cutoff" is. I was born in March of 1978, and I consider myself "non-X." Just seemed like everyone I knew of who considered himself Gen X was several years older than I am. Ain't like it matters, I suppose.

Hey, I just found out I am no longer an NRA member, I am part of a muzzle loader club, and being a member of that used to mean that by default we were all NRA members as well, but aparently that has changed. Anyone like to sponsor me?

How does the sponsoring work. I'll sponsor anyone, I'm an NRA member.

Can anyone sponsor me for GOA?

PLease feel free to e-mail me at MrBlonde1991@AOL.COM

For all you disabled vets out there, the NRA has a senior citizen/Disabled vet life membership available for $375.00. If you're angry about the NRA's history, then become a life member or 3yr, and you can vote in their board elections. Throw the losers out, and put Neal Knox in the President's seat. I am doing this because the NRA really is our best voice. I just wish they'd stop wasting money on mailings that don't do JS for our rights. I want the NRA to look at the smaller but more effective organizations and use their e-mail tactics and even fold the members of GOA and others into their ranks. Let Larry Pratt have a board position, and let him run his ops with NRA backing.
