Election time is near and all of us must pull together. Currently, Slopoke and others are doing their part with the GOA. While the NRA's numbers are growing, we can still add to the total count! If any member of TFL does not belong to the NRA due to financial conflicts, email a sponsor listed below and they will sponser you. Please state the reason why and provide your TFL user name. I encourage others to band together and get as many new members as we can! Old cliche but so true, "United we stand!"

You can go to https://www.nrahq.org/givejoinhelp/membership/application.cgi and sign them up online. If you choose this route, please get their real name, billing address, phone number, magazine they want, and do not add your membership number. Otherwise, you're just re-newing yourself.

So far, I signed up Santana and mk86fcc, 10 X from thearmedcitizen.net, and Mark from 1911forum.com

Forgive my ignorance, but what exactly is involved with your sponsorship?
 
Simple, if the person can not afford the membership for whatever reason, I'll sponsor him/her. I do my sponsorship via the NRA's website. Which makes the whole process faster.
 
I'd like to be a member, but I believe it's only for Americans.

Sorry, forgot to add I can hardly afford to stay in SSAA (Australia's NRA), let alone join something else.

Bruce, I'd be happy to sponsor your membership if youd like. I think the NRA will accept members from other countries, I'll check.

Thank you indeed for your offer -- but may I suggest that your money would be better spent sponsoring an American member?? Each person you sign from the USA will be of value to you in your fight; mine would be a "wasted" sponsorship.

I wouldn't feel right about doing that.

I sense by your reply that I have upset and perhaps offended you. My friend, that was certainly the very last thing I wanted to do.

I am not trying to be "noble" or "self-effacing", but I would rather see your nomination go to one of your fellow Americans who can then actually have a say in the attack on your firearms and RKBA. If I was to accept, it would be lovely, but pure self-indulgence on the part of an Aussie who has no voice in your country.

Can you see what I'm getting at? I am not ungrateful -- far from it -- I feel very honoured that you jumped in without hesitation as you did. But my conscience would worry me if I accepted your kind offer.

Please give it -- as freely as you did to me -- to someone who deserves it and who will be able to stand by your side if the need arises.

Please don't be angry or offended -- that would hurt me deeply because I am doing what I feel -- morally -- is the right thing.

I think I am a member, I get the mounds of ILA mail and the magazine, but they cant seem to get me my card and membership packet. I paid the $$ FOR 3 years in February and they have told me that they would send me a packet at least twice since then. I need the proof of membership in order to apply to join with a local range.
 
Yeah sure I'd join the NRA and continue to support the biggest traitor to the constitution of the USA, since '33 to '94 the only full compromise gun lobby in the nation. WhooHoo!

DaveD, sign Bruce up at the point of his chin if necessary. I'll just sign an extra one up this coming Sunday at the gun show!

Bruce, we want you on our side, too. You can write letters to the NRA, just as we can, and it will mean something!
