Free Internet Providers?

Ditto, I had good luck with Freei and NetZero for the first few weeks, then I slowly started having more and more problems with them. I finally uninstalled their programs. Too much of a PITA!

FWIW, I've used Juno since 1999 and am generally satisfied. The annoying banner can be gotten rid of easily-- after it pops up, hit "cntrl-alt-delete" and when the "end task" window pops up, scroll down to "adbanner" and end it. Repeat again for "yourpasswordname-Juno" and it's gone! Sometimes this will drop your connection, which just means you must redial & do it again.
I haven't gotten a lot of spam from their advertisers-- some, not a lot.
FYI, Ace Hardware is giving away CD's with some kind of free 'net service.
