It is much easier to blame a faceless Gov. Bureaucracy than to take responsibility for your own mistakes. Those who have proper maturity recognize the path of self-responsibility as the proper path and take it even though it is harder. Those lacking maturity want to be coddled. They want to have an easy scapegoat to blame for their problems.
The reason why they feel everyone should not have firearms is because they consider everyone to be at their level of maturity.
We have seen plenty of examples of what people at their level of maturity are capable of.
 
Sorry FUD. I assumed that you were driving on this excusion, but your post never actually says that.
 
Mikul, let me clarify ... I was doing the driving but this whole trip was devoted to my sister-in-law's house-hunting exercise -- nothing else was planned. It really didn't matter to me if I was behind the wheel going on a Sunday drive or if I was walking around looking at houses -- six of one & half a dozen of the other. The only person being hurt by the wild goose chase was my sister-in-law because it took away from her house-hunting and she had her own sister to blame for it. Actually I was sort of enjoying listening to "... have him turn here ... no, he needs to go striaght ... we have to stop to go to the bathroom ... no, we don't have time, the place closes in 45 minutes and we're over half an hour away ..." as the two of them argued with each other ;)

You're not ever going to figure them out since they're incapable of using reason to evaluate the facts. Antis rely on emotion instead.

Remember that you're definitely not going to win any arguments with in-laws. That's a given. So, just relax and don't get worked up.

One thing for sure, most people that make up the type that are hard core anti's would not have survived the early years of this country. They'd have been killed off in one form or another. When you think of what they're doing today to our rights, it's too bad those old days still don't exist. The STUPID deserve whatever happens to them as long as it's not good & IMHO, ALL anti's are pondsucking, rock hard, ignorant, blackhole, darwin-award, bottomfeeding, pusillanimous, white feathered, craven, recreants!
