FL OC

I am going to FL for a visit. I do have a FL CHL. the last time I knew FL was not an open carry state. I do not intend to OC, but am interesting in accidental showing or printing of the handgun.
Thanks,
Jerry

Don't worry about it. A new law was passed this year that allows you to expose your weapon for a "brief" period without penalty.

As long as you aren't doing it in a threatening manner, you're fine.

Not that anyone would notice anyway.

In FL you can fully OC while hunting and fishing...know that much.

Last sesson "incidental exposure" was covered. not a problem any more.

Many thanks. I was thinking that there was some change that took place fairly recently.
I am diligent about concealing my gun, but was wondering about printing. I think the information you have given will take care of my wondering.

Regards,
Jerry

As with any recent change in law, proceed with caution. Just because FL law was changed regarding incidental exposure, that does not mean that the local police or people who might call them (particularly in tourist-heavy areas) are familiar with or properly understand the change in law. While you would, in all likelihood, prevail in the end were you arrested for accidental exposure of your weapon, it would probably still be a hassle that most would prefer to avoid.

but am interesting in accidental showing or printing of the handgun.

Covered under the changes in the laws recently. On your own property and in your place of business or at your job with the owners blessing and as stated hunting fishing O KEE DOKEIE to OC.
