Fixed blade needed

I still carry my older Ka bar USMC fighting knife when I backpack into the Bighorn Mts. But it is quite large for ordinary cutting tasks.

Yes, a KaBar is a bit big. But for those of us who love carbon steel blades, KaBar makes a smaller version of the same (5-1/4" blade as opposed to a 7-1/2" blade).
