Rugers are not the most popular on the east coast either. I have known several skeet shooters who use them but they are not the 1st choice. Bill Ruger would never allow a trap gun because he did not like trap. After he passed away they produced a trap gun. Versatility was my main cocern. Ducks on Saturday, Skeet Sunday morning and Trap on tuesday night. Rabbits and squirrel next fall. Just leaving the options open within the parameters given. SKB builds a good shotgun also that would fit the competition side cant say what resale might be.
