First time carrying a concealed firearm

Yes,

1. yes

2. 70 Series Colt .45 Commander

3. Inside pocket of a leather bomber jacket.

4. At work, even though it was illegal. Of course those making the rules didn't close late at night in a bad part of town, nor have to walk into a dark alley where employees had to park.

5. Oddly the boss showed up to pick something up he had forgot in his office, the first night I carried, as I was locking up and walking out. He walked out with me. Just great, I'm made. He didn't have a clue. He was later fired for stalking a female employee...

1. Yes.

2. SA 1911 Compact

3. Galco paddle

4. To work (major metro downtown area) at night. I used to park in the garage that, several weeks prior, had been the scene of a rather well-publicized car-jacking.

5. Thinking "...and why do I work here...?"

I don't work there any more.

1. Do you remember the first time you carried a concealed firearm?
Yes

2. What was the make, model & caliber?
*&* model 910 9mm

3. How did you carry it?
Mexican, strong side with extra mag, back pocket.

4. Where did you carry it?
Went to the mall with my little sis ( not so little really, she just turned 21) she never knew until we got home.

5. What do you remember most about that moment?
Hoping that I didn't have to try on clothes for my fashion crazed sister, and praying that noone would make me use my 9mm.

My Colt .45... Better to have and not need, than to need and not have.

I carried a .22 revolver.

I carried it in my bicycle handlebar bag, I didn't have a car.

My bike was my main mode of transportation so I carried it when the situation seemed right.

I don't remember anything special except that I had a fightin' chance if someone tried to get the best of me.

My Mom carried one all the time. She didn't talk about it much. She said she carried it to shoot snakes when she fished, which she did a lot. I think it just made her feel safer. She didn't consult the law on that matter cause when she grew up it wasn't any big deal. Now people would view my Mom as a gun totin' radical but viewing pictures of the family, my uncle with his revolver in his holser at family gatherings, my aunts and uncles with their shotguns hunting, I wonder what happened in such a short period of time. When did carrying a gun make someone a bad person. My family is pretty wimpy, and I think having guns was just what people did back then. It was a "polite society".
{sorry but I've had a couple beers and am reminising}

1. Do you remember the first time you carried a concealed firearm?
Yes.

2. What was the make, model & caliber?
Glock 26 ("baby Glock"). Holds 10+1 in 9mm, loaded with hydrashoks

3. How did you carry it?
IWB holster, strong side. First tried it on my hip. It made me look fat and a little lumpy, even under my longish overshirt.

Then I tried putting it behind my hip. More comfortable there when standing, terrible when sitting. And a slow draw for me. But it stayed there until I discovered for me it works best in front, between my hip and belly button. (Note to other women: if you're curvy, this is a good place to hide a gun because your shirt usually blouses there anyway ... so you don't have to mess up your usual sillouette too badly in order to stay concealed.)

4. Where did you carry it?
Wore it home from picking up my new holster -- couple hours in the car. Ran some errands on the way home, in and out of several stores.

5. What do you remember most about that moment?
I'd just gotten my permit the day before and :o I kinda wanted to get pulled over just so I could show someone the durn thing! That's how excited I was.

On the way home I was walking into a store with my buddy and said some smart remark or another. He responded, "Knock it off or I'll tell you your gun's showing." :D What an effective threat!

1.Do you remember the first time you carried a concealed firearm?

Yes.

2.What was the make, model & caliber?

Sig 229 .40

3.How did you carry it?

Galco Royal Guard IWB holster.

4.Where did you carry it?

To my brother in law's place for dinner (and to show off).

5.What do you remember most about that moment?

I remember thinking "is it always going to be so uncomfortable?". This was prior to learning that regular pants and an IWB (esp. with a Sig) is a bad idea. I was also thinking that my bro would be envious, as I got my permit before he did.

1. Yep, I was 15

2. POS 9 shot .22 snubbie, the only pistol I had at the time.

3. SOB holsterless with a Kabar dagger on the other side.

4. To a fight. I lived in a small town and these 3 guys were upset with me for "enjoying" their sister. They came to my house and called me out. At the time I thought it better to get it over with than be caught later.

5. Hoping they would listen to reason and not make me kill them. They did, I didn't.

I realize that this was completely insane, but at the time, I felt I had no choice. They did catch me later after they had been drinking, but they didn't hurt me too bad.
