Do you remember the first time you carried a concealed firearm?
Yep.

What was the make, model & caliber?

It was a seven shot (6+1) 9mm Kahr MK9

How did you carry it?

In an inside the waist belly band on the weak side in a cross draw fashion with a tucked in shirt and no jacket

Where did you carry it?

Went to get some house supplies. It was either at a Wal-Mart, K-Mart or Target -- can't be sure of which one.

What do you remember most about that moment?

I felt as if all eyes were upon me and I kept looking in windows & mirrors to see if I was printing and having a hard time fighting the urge to adjust it.
FUD

Yep
Taurus 945
In the stash pocket of a horsehide bomber jacket with a spare mag on the opposite side.
Inside a large shopping mall.
Who knows I'm carrying.

1In my vehicle, No
On my person, yes (so we'll go w/"on my person" :))
2my .22 mag 8-shot revolver (don't even think about calling it a "pea shooter," or I'll shoot you with a pea, and then I'll shoot you w/my .22 mag ...then you can be the judge :b )
3is it called "Mexican carry?" I dunno, but I was wearing a big windbreaker and jeans, so I shoved it in the front waistband of my pants...considering my short stature and (kinda) small frame, it was pretty well-concealed....
4On the way to PRK, alone with my two-year old son. Had to stop for gas in the middle of the night, out in the middle of nowhere in the snow....nobody noticed...of course, my Pit Bull, Jake, gave me a warmfuzzy feeling of security, too. :)
5I thought, "Kick A$$!!!!!" :D :D :D
The unarmed, "Please don't approach me or I'll try to jump back in my car faster than you can run" feeling was replaced by....well, you be the judge! :)

Everywhere I went.

What do you remember most about that moment?

Walking from the parking garage to the movie theatre on Polk Street to see Naked Gun 2 1/2, The Smell of Fear (the Leslie Neilsen movie) and seeing a prostitute that looked like a sex-change operation gone horribly wrong.

How did you carry it?
“Mexican carry”

Where did you carry it?
Everywhere

What do you remember most about that moment?

Nope I don't remember. I think it was probably with my P 11 though, since that was the first real CCW gun that I purchased.

Very well indeed. P7M8 mexican carry IWB under a sweatshirt at the local Cici's pizza. What I remember most is that while looking around to see if anyone was watching me I saw the bottom 1/4" or so of a holster underneath a guy's jacket as he walked past me. I looked at him as he passed by the other way and he had some fire department insignia on. He was there with I guess his wife and kids. I thought that was really ironic, that I was so paranoid about being spotted, and the first place I ever carry I make somebody else.

Do you remember the first time you carried a concealed firearm?
Yep.

What was the make, model & caliber?

It was a *&* centennial airweight (.38 spl)

How did you carry it?

Fanny pack--still can't find a comfortable/concealable holster

Where did you carry it?

School (a University to be exact). Had a night meeting and had to walk across campus after dark.

What do you remember most about that moment?

I was a little self-concious, but not too much. Felt A LOT more comfortable walking to my car than if I had not had it.

1. Yep, certainly do... Don't remember the exact date, but it was summer 1986. I picked up my permit from the County sheriff's office (Perry County, Pennsylvania), walked out to the car, and stuck my gun in my waistband. Never looked back.

2. Charter Arms Off Duty .38 Spl. I still have it. I know the ammo, too. Remington 125-gr. JHP .38 Spl.

3. IWB holster.

4. From that day on, just about everywhere, but especially to my Mother's book business in York.

5. What do I remember most? "Damn, I need gas in this pig again (1977 Ford Maverick, with a 302 V8)!"

Of course, with that car, I said it ALL the time! :)

Beware the man with the S&W .357 Mag.
Chances are he knows how to use it.

FUD it was a sears 9 shot 22 that my mother bought for my brother and I. I was about 11 or 12 and crept out of the house with it in my jacket to go shot some birds.

I remember I did not get busted, well at least not told about it. The birds are still alive.

Yep.

What was the make, model & caliber?
It was a Sig Sauer P-229 in .40.

How did you carry it?
I carried it in a Galco Scout IWB underneath a t-shirt and jeans.

Where did you carry it?
Went on a long walk with my "love interest" at the time... (Didn't work out though... D'OH!)

What do you remember most about that moment?
I remember being nervous that the gun would be seen, but also proud that I could better protect those I care about.

I remember getting my CCW in the mail, too. In Utah you have to take a firearms course to get one. The instructor said that the Utah Dep't. of Public Safety was notorious for rejecting fingerprint cards for picky reasons. I didn't think my prints were that great, and when I got the tiny envelope from Utah DPS I was *sure* I had been rejected and would need to send in two more sets of prints. Lo and behold, I opened the envelope and my permit fell out. Needless to say, I was pretty excited about it...
