Firearms related tattoos...

I have 6 tats but none are gun related. I can't really afford a new tattoo any time soon but will likely get a few more in my lifetime. Maybe one will be gun related.

I am so glad I never gave in to the urge to get a tattoo. I never ever saw an officer with a tattoo but many of the E guys had 'em. IT was seemingly a permanent marking of their station in life.

Some would consider it a permanent badge of ignorance, I say to each his own. It is like most everything in life, trends, cycles, fads, fashions. They come and go. As the Bible says, there is nothing new under the sun. For the same reasons I don't put firearms bumper stickers on my truck, I would not get a firearms style tattoo. I like to keep it low key.

Their station in life? I never came across a successful officer that did not owe their career to the senior enlisted people that taught them how to do their job. All of the truly good officers recognized this and gave the credit to the senior enlisted people that held their hand through the process of being a junior officer.

I got a SAA tattooed on my right forearm at 18, don't necessarily regret it, just wishing I'd maybe put some more thought into it. Have 6 other non firearm related tattoos, but I do plan on getting one or two more relating to guns. For sure plan on getting a full color, to scale 5.56 cartridge going from my elbow to wrist. Maybe also a S&W logo somewhere.

gotta love the kalashnikitty. don't have anything against tattoos. there just fine if that's your thing. i'd rather spend my money on guns and gun stuff.

I had to laugh,
I handed a Ensign a M9 and my .45 magazine by mistake.
