Firearms related tattoos...

Haven't seen a thread on firearms related tatts in a while and since I got a new tatt today, I thought I'd start one.

Got a M24 rifle on my leg today. Since I carried one for a little over 4 years, I figured I'd get one tatted on me. It goes with the infantry crossed rifles and airborne wings (spent 11 1/2yrs in the 82nd, still in at 16yrs now) I've got on one side of my chest and ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒE on the other.

Already looking for ideas for the next one so lets see your firearms related tatts. :D

Congrats on your new tat.

For some reason I can't get the pic. to show up.

Also, I know I've thanked you before for your services , but I try and never miss the privilege . Soooo...again, Thank You.

Don't have any gun tats as of yet, but as long as I'm on this side of the ground, it's never to late. ;)

Welcome, and to think when I first joined, I planned on doing my 4 years and getting out.....here I am 16 years later but I couldn't see myself doing anything else.

Is the pic working yet?

I have a small SW insignia from the 80s, but it's so faded it looks like a blob now. Here's my wife's two tattoos.

Retired as a Senior Chief Boatswain's Mate (E-8) after 22 years. I was one of the only people in the goat locker with no tats.

My head is bowed and bloodied. :D

edit; pic works fine, nice tat BTW.

Hah!

I was actually thinking of getting the AR-15/Scythe blade from the Sons of Anarchy logo. Not the full Reaper, just the gun.

Still on the fence, don't necessarily want a tattoo linked with a TV show, but I like the design of the rifle with scythe bayonet.

Guy I knew in college had a Deagle on one side of his head, and a S&W Revo on the other

armoredman ,

I do like that CZ logo on your wife. I'm not sure about getting an actual manufactorer logo on me, the only one I'd consider would be Ruger but then again I'm a HUGE Ruger fan. :)

Gun tats are like logo T-shirts,,,

I almost got the USAF wings tattoo one time,,,
But fortunately, I sobered up while waiting my turn in line.

Brand name tats are like logo T-shirts,,,
If a manufacturer wants me to advertise a logo for them,,,
They dang well better sign me a big check for my promotional efforts. ;)

I have never found any design or picture that I liked well enough,,,
To have it permanently inked into my skin.

Not downing those who do wear ink,,,
I just never felt the desire.

My sentiments exactly... though that Kalishnakitty tattoo on armoredman's wife is pretty cool, my wife will want one when she sees it.

^^^^^^

Read an article just a couple years ago, the tattoo removal industry saw an uptick in removals due to the tough job market

I've got a total of 8 right now and all of them but the M24 are able to be covered up with shorts and a t-shirt and I can still cover it up with jeans/pants. The job reason is the only one I won't get any sleeves done.

Thinking bout getting this one next (carried a M14 on 2 deployments and really love my M1a ;)): I emailed the artist of the painting and he said it'd be fine. Really the only thing I'd change would be the colors as I just want it black/gray as I like black work and about double the size.

Love Tatts love guns hate incorrect use of apostrophes.
:)
People do tend to be possessive about both. I am not sure but the tatts and guns might also be possessive of the people.

For young people, studies show that some employers will look negatively at tatoos.
Studies also show that the above statement is especially true if you drop your trousers during the interview just to show off the tattoo . . . .
