But of course it's never legally possible since the medical marijuana user is a prohibited person under federal law. Therefore under federal law, in the case of a private sale, both the buyer and seller would be liable to prosecution under federal law.

It seems like the smart thing for any legal medical pot user to do would be to simply avoid the problem/conflict by making their firearms purchases from individuals rather than FFL's whenever legally possible.
Let us hope Frank Lauteberg isn't reading this thread :(

There was a certain campaign statement made that still bothers me...Something like"I'm going to form a civilian security force,as large and well equipt as our military..."
Posse Comatatus seemingly would not apply.

Farfetched and paranoid, maybe, but strange things are happening.

Suppose the health record database and the Firearms purchase records were cross referenced.

My crystal ball says they'd go easy.Make a deal.Yeah,we got you on a 10 year sentence, but, tell you what.Work for us.I bet you know lots of folks with guns....

Yeah,I know.Wild,pernoyd speculation...Probably never happen.What a buzzkill...

We are dangerously close to advocating an illegal action. Please be aware that it is a small step from theorizing to advocacy, as illustrated above.

I'm closing this thread to avoid having to ban anyone for making such comments.
