Firearms liability insurance plans

As a licensed insurance producer in Illinois for the last 40 years and a concealed carrier,I did an informal study of my national insured companies and was assured that any lawful action,on my part, would be defended under my homeowners and umbrella policy.

Yeah, and it's the 'any lawful action' that's often the very point in dispute, the one that generates big legal bills in the first place.

Homicide is against the law
-- and remains so unless and until the legal system has cleared your specific act. Getting that clearance often costs a lot of money ... up front. And absent specific coverage for criminal defense, that money won't be reimbursed.

Umbrella policy.......at the very least if you have assets in your name.

Nobody ever complained about being over-insured if they needed it.
