Firearms Anonymous

Hello everyone. This morning I would like to admit that I have a problem. Last night I entered my home with a used Glock 19 that I got for $350. If anyone recalls, one of my recent posts was about the EAA Tanfoglio Witness Elite that I bought a few weeks ago. I still have not fired the Witness and now I have another new (to me) pistol. I am addicted to firearms and think I should stay out of the gun shop because I cannot go inside without finding something that I need. I need a bigger safe too!

Also, I used the money I was going to buy as MPA-30 with. So now I need to save again for that. I may need another job to feed this addiction.

I'm certain I am not alone. How do you all cope? I've been getting by one gun at a time.

I guess this is a useless thread and won't be surprised if it's closed. I just felt like getting it off my chest because my wife just doesn't understand.

This is why I buy cheap gun then expensive gun, you can always tell the wife this one was so much cheaper then the last. Plus it gives you time to decide on what expensive gun to buy next while your satisfied with a cheaper one temporarily. So far my bills remain paid and I haven't been kicked out.

You don't have nothing! Pfft! You're merely experimenting and have no addiction yet...Haven't been kicked out? Pfft again!. Post back after you have gotten your Wife to the mindset of taking out a personal loan for your M1A, or letting you buy two high power rifles in one week! Heck, she bought me my AR just because my friend got one. On her tab mind you. Last time was a Freedom arms 454 and she said sorry it was a used one and not brand new, it was as new in box though so I understood.

She let you buy two guns without kicking you out? Kids. :D

j/k.

Just remember it is much better to give than receive. Do not save your money for a gun. Save your money and spend it on a nice gift like jewelry or some other similar nice item for your wife.

I am hear to tell you it will pay off in the long term. You will then not have to explain things to your wife. Number two, she will in return want to do nice things for you. As an example, my lovely wife just bought me a new Browning semi-auto 22 last evening.

If you know how many firearms you have without counting them, you're not really addicted -- just headed down that path. :)

I hear ya man, I've bought 19 in the last 14 months (sold 2). I THINK I'm done for now, but gosh it's a hard habit to break. My wife is an angel :)

I have such a great wife,
She said I could either get a new gun for Christmas, or I could get the Dillon XL 650 reloading set up I've been thinking of getting.( And she"ll pay for it ! )
Now I just have to figure out how to get both.

I have the same serious gun addiction, but i try not to think about other things to make me have a another one right after I buy a gun. Almost a year ago, I bought a Armalite ar30 .300winmag and only shot it once and now I have thoughts about an ar-50. All I can say is be happy of what you have until you have money for a new one. I'm just relying on Christmas bonuses and tax returns.

Who says I am a gun addict, I’m not a gun addict, I can stop whenever I want, OK the next one is the last, then no more,,, nope no more for me, this is my last one, I swear my last, :(
You know guys, my wife didn’t believe it ether.
But she’s no help, I bought her a PC for Christmas and she ordered me a new Ruger Blackhawk in 44 special. That will take my collection of guns that shoot specials to,,, 7,,, 9,,, I don’t really know for sure but one more won’t hurt.

I remember once upon a time when I thought my handgun collection would consist of a 1911, a Hi Power, a Blackhawk and a Luger.

I even bought a 4 gun pistol rack from Cabelas to hold them all
