FIOCCHI ammo?

Like someone stated before this stuff is a good value for the money. And fairly clean too!
The smaller calibers .25/.32/.380ACP and such are loaded a little hotter, similar to European specs. The other larger stuff seems to be loaded to standard american specs.
Also, the non XTP Hollow Points suck! Great for practice with a hollow point and to duplicate the feeding of HPs, but horrible for deffence.

Fiocchi .357 magnum ammo - both the 142gr JTC and the 148gr SJHP - is really high quality. However I have to go against the prevailing opinion here because to me the recoil from these rounds feels noticeably UNDERpowered.
Interesting. My experience has been that Fiocchi feels like it's a bit "warmer" than typical factory loads today. They remind me more of the harsher recoil encountered when shooting factory ammo in the 1970's.

As far as them being "underpowered", it's marginal.

i've used 4 of their calibers from Fiochi and all have worked perfect...and their brass has worked good for my reloading so i'd say Yes to them having good all around ammuntion!

I use Fiocchi 9mm and .44 magnum ammo and I like it fine. The shooting dynamics line is a pretty solid performer. The price is nice and it performs much like my favorite Federal and Speer ammo as far as being accurate, reliable and consistant. It is dirtier burning than Federals ammunition but dirties up my guns no more than Remington ammo does. Like others already said it seems a bit hotter than some others for sure, but that's kind of a bonus. As long as they keep their prices low I'll probably continue to buy it.

becareful if you reload 45 acp.
fiocchi seems to be using small pistol primers. last 5 boxes I got were like that.

I've been shooting the 100 round cans. I've not had any problems
with it. I say buy all you can, it's not going to get any cheaper.

Fiocchi and Sellier & Bellot are both good import ammunition companies.

I try to buy as much 9mm 124 gr as I can when I can find it.

I understand Fiocchi made the ammo sold some years back under the S&W brand name.
Any confirmation?

Yes, they did, in the 1970's. It was outstandingly mediocre because they loaded it to requirements from S&W. Accuracy was decent, but the velocities were nothing to brag about. They also used a rather dirty burning flake powder. Our assumption was that S&W specified the loads had to be safe in all their guns, even the weaker pre-war guns. We weren't impressed by the ammo.

One thing I do like about Fiocchi is they use a "mid-weight" bullet (142-148 grains) in the .38/.357 ammo. These can be pushed a little faster and with good mass penetrate well.

this one and swiss ruag are my favorite range brands
hot clean rounds
reliable
good quality control in the plants that make it

if I can get 50 rounds of 9mm under 10.50 I buy it. For what it is worth, 10.47 is what wal mart charges for Federal Brand 50 rounds 9mm. so that is my price break point
