Finally got to bring it home

For me, mine shot really low out of the box. I made an adjustment at home and this last trip to the range still looked like it was low. And of course I didn't bring my small screwdriver the other day.

I've had the same experience with different recoil between a Smith 29 and a Taurus, the 29 recoil pushed up and the Taurus pushed back. The Taurus barrel is ported, which no doubt accounts for part of that. The Smith may have a higher barrel axis too. The difference is pretty dramatic.

In the owners manual it will show which direction to turn the screw, clockwise or counter clockwise. I can't remember at the moment which. I need a bit more range time to finish correcting mine. I bought a gun rest that I will use to help sight it in and help with shooting my other guns to test my reloads
