Fighting to Lose

Don't give the media too much credit. Sure, they can try to convince people, but a good candidate carries the day. Just look at how Reagan defeated the media, twice! GW Bush would do well to take a page from Reagan's campaigns and go on the attack.

Don't forget that the DNC is running a campaing blizzard in many states, airing commercials that the RNC isn't bothering to challenge. This took Dole out of the race last time, it might do in the Republicans again.

I thought the Harry and Louise ads were patronizing. I am thrilled they had their effect, but I think it was a marginal one. I hope to God it was because it is either the American people being complete morons or an ad that only reinforced what the American people believed to begin with.
If I were GW, and I wanted to salvage my campaign, I would boldy make statements that could be controversial (so they get media air-time), but what people want to hear. I would stop responding to all the Democratic charges (wastes valuable talk-time), and find one or two issues to hammer the Dems on. At the beginning of the campaign, it was GW's to lose, now it appears the tables have turned, and it is now Al Gore's to lose. Don't discount the senior citizen "secret" vote. A lot of them will rant about Gore, but when they get into the safe confines of the booth will pencil in Algore because they secretly want the free viagra. Pathetic. I just know there are a lot of them out there. Of course Dubya has a secret constituency too among the Democrats who are sick of scandal, and ineffective policies. I hope Ralph Nader puts on a good show, but I wonder if the media will see him as a threat, and not give him any time. Nader may be our unintended savior.- GO NADER GO!!!
 
Its important that algore wins so that the public (whos left and can think for themselves) can bend over, grab their ankles and take it from behind -- all before they can learn how bad it really sucks.

Then we can live through another 4 years of absoulte chaos before gettin' a real prez.

Thats my optimistic opinion...

Are the Dems upset because it was subliminal, or might they be a bit miffed because it the bleeding TRUTH.

In light of this discussion of incompetence in the Bush campaign, isn't it interesting that private, Bush debate rehearsal tapes were sent to the Gore campaign? Perhaps there is a mole indeed ...
