FIE 25 Auto - Looking for info

The later Colt guns (and any that were sent in for the recall) had inertial firing pins installed. These allowed the gun to be safely carried hammer down (NOT ON HALF COCK.) Fully down. I would not carry one cocked with the safety on.

Bill, According to Dr. antarias in his book Astra Automatic Pistols when the 68 gun control act denied importation Colt arranged to produce the pistol in the US. You are quite correct! Damn! :)

I finally got the opportunity to fire this "new to me" gun yesterday. It ran great and is an accurate little bugger. I shot outdoors at a small target about 20 feet away, then I moved in closer to less than 10 feet. Very nice tight groups and shoots to point of aim. I'm pleased with it. And....thanks for all the info, you guys helped. Major
