Fiber optic sights

Fiber optic sights are good for speed, but harder to shoot precisely. They are common in competitions such as USPSA which balance speed and accuracy. With low light, they are the same as a post or other plain sight. They do not "magnify" light, they gather existing light and focus it in one direction. I have an FO front sight on the USPSA guns and 3-gun shotgun.

I shot a little at night with tritium sights, and they are on the bedside gun, next to a flashlight because, as has been said, seeing the sights does not mean you can see the target.

Precisely why I said "sort of." I figured everybody knew how they really work and wrote "sort of" rather than bore readers with an explanation not germane to the actual content of the post.:)
