Fellow Glock haters...I need help!!!

greenmantis,

"They too frequintly (sic) blow up"
What nonsense, are you basing that comment on?.

"Have a very high incidence of AD's"
Even if this were true, how can you blame this on the pistol?

A Glock can not fire without the trigger being pulled.

Well, there's one thing in common between my G17 and my squeeze: at first I didn't have eyes for either.

As Heraclitus put it: The only constant is Change.

There are two types of people when it comes to Glock pistols:
1. Those that have shot them and love them.

2. Those that have never shot them, but are determined to write them off as tupperware trash.

I think you are kidding yourself if you really believe this. For one thing, it is not absolute that everyone who shoots them loves them. To believe that is delusional. I have fired many GLOCKs and have yet to "love" them. I have friends who own and shoot GLOCKs, but still do not "love"them. They do like them, but they are far from loving them.

Secondly, you can't categorize those who haven't shot a GLOCK as GLOCK-haters, as you have. It IS possible to have never fired a GLOCK and be indifferent to them. I was for years.

I don't intend it to be a flame, but categorizing people the way you have and the way other "GLOCK people" have in the past only polarizes people even more.

I don't know about you, but my Kimber GM/SS and my Glock 17 love eachother.

Once, I left them alone in the safe together. And wouldn't you know it: the following day there was a third gun in there---a Springfield XD.

;)

Do you have a need for this pistol? Or is it just another toy? If you have a need buy with out the M6 or what ever it's called. If it's a toy. the money could be better spent on practice ammo or training for your carry pistol. If you really want another toy send the money to me I need the money to buy another carry pistol. For $800 you might wind up with my second gen G-17 with Trijicon night sites, an extended mag catch/slide stop, a 3.5 # trigger, & 2-17rd/3-19 rd mags. I've owned the G-17 for 10 years & the pistol fires with out any problem. The accuracy is good nice groups. But for me the grip is too wide & I can only get the nice groups close to the X ring. I need a carry pistol with a narrower grip. So if the G-20 fits your hand get it. But the money would be best served if you gave it to me.

I find that Glock handguns are reliable, and relatively inexpensive, but my largest compliant with them is the trigger. Having actually spent a decent sum of money on a 34 and a 35 (Refer to Attachment) with accessories like magazines wells, tungsten guide rods, bo-mar sights and JP Enterprise magazine release just to name a few.

I tried using them for the Limited and Limited 10 class competition in IPSC. No matter what I attempted I found that I still shoot faster and more accurately with my 1911’s (i.e. Splits) than I can with either one of my competition Glock’s.

If the intent were to use the Glock for self-defense then its OK I would even use it for IDPA or IPSC production class competition. But I would not recommend it for use in the IPSC Limited/Limited 10 Class. That’s my 2 cents.
