Fell in love with an AR today, need some help

It would be quite hard to find an off-the-shelf AR barrel that has .223 Remington chamber.

5.56 NATO is good for all. Wylde is similar with slight accuracy advantage. I pick Wylde chamber whenever it is option available.

PSA has stripped lowers all the time for $40, this is just two examples

Thanks for info. I meant to look for polymer receivers, upper and lower, to try.

I thought I would reply back and give an update. thanks to all for providing very good info on options. A week ago one of he guys at work heard of a sale on the local radio at a local LGS who had a Delton 316L (in 556) and a Dickinson 12ga pump (18.5in barrel) for $539...for both, so I went over there and checked them out. The shotgun is nice, the AR was basic but decent, kind of a crappy trigger, but I bought the deal. The guy at the counter said they had sold about 250 pairs in the 5 days the sale was going on. I took them home and cleaned them up, which by itself helped the AR trigger some, but it needs to be shot, and I have not been able to yet. At any rate, I will report back, maybe after this weekend if everything lines up.

There are many options for trigger upgrades for AR's.

The best part, if you can read instructions, you can do it yourself.

If you don't want to deal with all the parts and springs, buy a drop in trigger pack.
