Favorite wheelgun manufacturer?

Is there a Mr. Smith in the House?

When it absolutely, positively must go bang...

I reach for a S&W 586/686

Nothing else even comes close.

Any Ruger will do. Like a Timex watch they take a licken and keep on shooten. But unlike the Timex Watch they also look good.

Smith and Wesson wheelguns are my favorite wheelguns by far, but I don't have enough sympathy for them left to label them as my favorite manufacturer. I have more love for Taurus these days. Still, three out of my eight handguns are Smith wheelguns.

Smith & Wesson.

My pinned and recessed S&W's are keepers. They are well built beautifully finished pieces. My father passed on his Smiths to me and I'll pass them on to my son.

S&W N or K frame as top.
Older Colt Police Positive or Trooper.
DW (original) haven't had one of the new ones yet.

I own four wheel guns.

1) Ruger GP-100 .357 stainless with 4" fully lugged barrel.

2) Ruger Vacquero .357 stainless with 5.5" barrel

3) Ruger Vacqureo .44mag color case finish with 7.5" barrel

4) Ruger Redhawk .44mag blue with 6" barrel.

I'd say ol' Billy Ruger might take some heat for his politics but never for the performance of his revolvers.

Colt

I have gotten rid of 5 "Other" revolvers and now have only 2 Pythons, a King Cobra, and a S&W 27 (it fits my wifes hand better then the Colts) I am always looking for more Colts for my collection....:)
