Now and Again
Nash Bridges

Martial Law

That's about it for shows we try to catch on a regular basis. Notice what they have in common? Pure escapism. OTOH, sometimes the entire week goes by and we realize we've not even turned the one-eyed monster on...

"...and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one."
Luke 22:36
"An armed society is a polite society."
Robert Heinlein

"Extreme Machines" (on Foxtel)
X-Files (I've fallen in lust with Gillian)
Old movies
Hale and Pace (UK)
Benny Hill (I know, I know ... )
World's Best Ads (I'm a sucker for these)
World's Wildest Police Videos (same thing all the time --- who cares??? ;))

We don't get ANY shooting shows, so ...

I have always enjoyed sci-fi so I watch all the Star Trek spin offs. Really like the Science Fiction channel; Farscape, Sliders, etc.
History Channel, Discovery, TLC when they have a topic I'm interested in.

Most of what is on network television is an insult to a retarded chimpanzee's intelligence, so I just don't watch any of it. If there is a good movie on HBO or Showtime I'll watch that, otherwise I read a book or magazine.

My favorite show ever THE PRISONER! But my current favorites are: 1. La Femme Nikita 2. X-Files

I AM NOT NUMBER! I AM A FREE MAN!

Well, there isn't a lot on nowadays on network TV worth watching...I try to catch The X Files every week and some of the weekly news shows. I watch a lot of TLC and the History Channel. All time TV favorites however:
Magnum PI
Miami Vice
Tales of the Gold Monkey
Babylon 5

Now here's a topic after my own heart:

Go to:http://www.best.com/~gdavis/highway-patrol/index.shtml

And mail TV Land to return to the air one of the best shows ever, Highway Patrol with Broderick Crawford.

We need "Dan the Man" back on the air! ;)

Cheese Man

" IF YOU CAN'T HIT IT WITH SIX SHOTS, USE A CLUB!"

X-Files

The Simpsons

Stuff on the History channel, Discovery, and TLC.

Iron Chef (food network)

Mystery Science Theater 3000 (before those pukes at the sci-fi channel canceled it)

OK...I'll be the first to admit it...my guilty pleasure would be that durn WWF Raw thing on Monday nights(and I don't believe for a second I'm the only one here...I'm just the only one brave enough to admit it)...and much like every guy I know, if the history channel is on it draws me like a moth to a flame...I think it's some type of brainwave thingy...

OK Guys, Fess up. I KNOW I'm not the only one that likes Star Trek. :) You have to admit that even Voyager has gotten watchable since they brought in the Borg lady.

Anything on History Channel. Third Watch is cool.

And I'm glad someone brought up Tales of the Gold Monkey. My favorite all time show, and I don't think it lasted more than a season or two. Haven't met anyone in years that even remembers the show.

I miss it. **sniff**

Another vote for the Sopranos, a very well written and edgy drama.. can be very fuuny too.

I've even found myself staying up after the sopranos on occasion to watch Oz... a much more disturbing drama.

Sunday day/night is my ONLY real TV night so i can usually be found surfing discovery/tlc all day while i do the chores and clean the house, then settle in for the sopranos, then switch back to fox for X-Files (I'm a die-hard fan) I used to watch millenium too... I guess that shown was just "too dark" for some.

I've been known to watch NYPD Blue now and again, as well as Ally Mcbeal.. a show that closely (at times) paralells the attitudes, antics and genuine WIERDNESS of people I know. Its scary sometimes.

I've been known to have a good laugh at Steve Irwin on the Crocodile Hunter... and watch the national geographic specials.

Love my animation. Daria always cracks me up, and if its possible to still habor crushes on cartoon characters I have one for daria's pal Jane. i really enjoy Liquid televison (for stuff like Aeon Flux), anything by Gennedy Tartikoff (Dexter's Lab), Cow and Chicken, Ren and Stimpy, South Park (chef is THE MAN), and Space Ghost (its cool when Brak sings). I sometimes wonder if my nephew even KNOWS why I'm laughing. No cartoon has EVER been as cool as the original Johnny Quest.

I was a huge fan of "the Prisoner" as well.

Star trek just hasn't been that good in a long time.. i still see an episode here and there.. but i'm just not a trekkie.

be seeing you,

Dr.Rob

Dr. Rob--

You must watch the Cartoon Network as much as I do. I like all the ones you mentioned, Dexter's Lab, Cow and Chicken (the Red Guy is great), plus others like I Am Weasel, Johnny Bravo, and even Ed, Edd, and Eddy more and more. And, now DO NOT laugh, I have even sat through an episode or two of the Powerpuff Girls. Okay, there, I admitted it!

By the way, if you like Brak, supposedly he's getting his own show, at least according to the website: http://www.CartoonNetwork.com/spaceghost/cod/brak/

He's bound to sing at least some of the time, probably about beans or some such!

CNN's "Moneyline" because I find Willow Bay very easy to look at. :)

Ok, T-Rex, I confess, I do like Star Trek also. I thought the season opener of Voyager last year was tops. The one where Kim and Chakotay communicated back in time through Seven of Nine to save the ship & crew. It was well written and thought provoking.
