Favorite Range Chambering

For me it is .44 Auto Mag. Once I get through my first mag the rest of the shooting line is usually cleared and up close drooling.

You just can't get more fun shooting for the same money spent on ammo than what you get with a 22 rimfire. When I go shooting I always bring a 22 and a 45 Colt. The others will vary.

I have a few favorites, but the .243 I got from Taylorce1 is probably the fun one if them all, and my turk 6.5-06 id also fun....,.i love me rifles!!!

While I have about 4 30-06 rifles, really don't shoot them that much. While I do not consider the recoil of a 30-06 bad, shooting them from benchrest in not that pleasant for me.

Weather permitting, I go to range 2 or 3 times a week and take several rifles with me each time. So, I have 22LR, 22 hornet, .223 Rem, 243 Win, 6mm Remington, 257Roberts, 250 Savage, 6.5x55 Swede, 6.5x57, 7x57, 300 Savage, 308 Win, 7.65x53, 8mm mauser, and a .43 Spanish rifle to choose from.

Hard for me to pick any particular cartridge. Kinda like them all. Presently, I'm having a hoot shooting a .223 Marlin X heavy barrel I acquired a month ago from a fellow range member. Its nice to shoot 3/8" 100 yd groups consistently with a rifle.

you've heard about the one that got away, this one is it!!

A push feed model 70 Winchester in .243 with a 4X12 AO Leupold that I still have, I mounted it on another Winchester model 70 (claw extractor) in 22/250. The .243 was by far the most accurate rifle I've ever owned, it would shoot touching clover leaf groups, wished I'd never let it go.. William

Ya'll gonna chuckle,,,

I don't hunt any more,,,
So it's simply plinking for me.

I shoot a lot of .22 LR,,,
But I also shoot a lot of .38 Special.

I have an H&R Handi Rifle in .357 magnum,,,
It's fun to shoot .38's out of it.

On a good day when my mojo is working,,,
I can hit 20 ounce water bottles with them at 150 yards.

I don't run very much .357 through it,,,
For the leisurely shooting I do,,,
It's too costly a round.

Certainly the .22LR is shot more than any other of my rounds, but two .223 Rems are the most used centerfires in my stable one kinda heavy and the other, just right.

A close second is the .243 Win and I have two of those also. Got them for the grandkids to use for deer, but use them often for Coyotes.

I'll play

Right now it's definitely 260 Remington. Not too long ago I built a long range rig off a Savage action. It's light recoiling, accurate (compliments of Shilen) and great for reaching out there.

However I just bought a used 243, which I've always wanted, so the 260 has some competition! I haven't shot it yet to find out.

22 lr. I really enjoy shooting paper bunnies and birds at 100 yds. This is a pretty good challenge for me, especially head shots. Second favorite is 270 Win for 3/4 inch dots @ 100 yds or 1 inch dots @ 200 yds. I would like to shoot the 270 farther but 200 is the max. on this range.
