Favorite Handgun Author?

Donald hamilton's Matt Helm series rocks. I have almost all of them and am hoping that I find the rest

Laurell K Hamilton writes a fantasy/sci-fi series about a female vampire executioner named Anita Blake who is one bad a$$ chick. Her primary side-arm is a BHP and her backup is usually a Firestar. Excellent action scenes, good gunhandling and a terrific protagonist. Hamilton gives credit to Ayoob in one of her forewords, makes me wonder if she's been to LFI. Try the books you'll like them

A request, when suggesting authors, please try put in a lone or two about the kind of books that they write.
It is not practical to check all those suggested by the posters! :)

btw, I found some books by Masaad and they seem unparalled in the usage of firearms in general.

Thanks

I've got to agree with Bob on this. "Point of Impact" is my favorite book of all time. Some of the shots are unbelievably long, but hey, he's supposed to be the best sniper in the world. And the smartest too. I hate books where the hero wins in the end because of some lucky break. I feel cheated. I like it when the hero wins because he is smarter than his foes.

For non fiction I like Massad Ayoob. His conclusions make sense and he always backs up what he's saying with real life examples.

I'm probably mentioning something you guys already know, so I'm sorry if this is old news but...

Since so many of you mentioned Tom Clancy, but noone mentioned the GAME Rainbow Six, I just wanted to plug that the MOST enjoyable game (for shooters) is the Tom Clancy Rainbow Six series of computer games. You get to choose your pistol, rifle, camo, etc...
I know it's not handgun related, but neither was the question :)
