Greetings David Scott,
My thought was pertaining to a single BG.
Should you run into Multiple Assailants, then shoot the most immediate threat first, and then see if any other threat still exists.
The reasoning for my "Triple Tap" technique is that we have become so used to thinking that 1 or 2 shots will immediately stop a Bad Guy.
The third shot is basically a "Failure to Stop" follow up that I combine with the initial "Double Tap" just to be sure...
After all, aren`t we supposed to "Keep Shooting" until the threat no longer exists...?
And when I say "ASSESS", I DON`T mean drop the weapon down from your sight picture, but merely look out OVER your sights and ASSESS.
IF follow up shots are necessary, you won`t have time to mess around!
As per Dept. Policy, "I don`t "Shoot to Kill"...
I, "SHOOT TO LIVE".
