I've been in the military for years. (Since I'm still in I can't share really any more information than that.) I was straight leg Infantry when I first went in and I've used plenty of very high quality scopes, as well as owned them. A perk of the military is a lot of companies offer great discounts, including Leupold. Some of them over a grand off. This thread asked about Explore Optics, and I will swear by them. Very clear glass, and they hold their zero very well at all magnifications. I chose their 4-16 X 50 with 1/8th minute adjustments. I have abused this scope over the last year and it has continued to impress me. The company is still new, but they are great people to deal with. I was a skeptic, but I liked the clarity and the ability to fine tune my rifle's groups so I bought one. I'm not afraid to abuse these scopes and still trust my life to it. I am new to the thread idea, but I thought I'd let people know that these are great scopes.
