I have personally cracked/worn out three lighweight Commanders. First one cracked at the front of the rails where the dust cover attaches. This was with about 2000 rounds of ball and ball duplicate reloads.
Second one ovaled a copule of the pin holes and the pins started walking during firing. This was after about 5000 rounds.
Third one cracked on both sides from the mag release hole back to the opening in the frame under the stocks.
This one had fired 3-4000 rounds.
After that I gave up and now shoot Glocks. They're ugly and the trigger sucks but the damn things don't break.
