Ever lose a gun?

yep in the early 80's it was no big thing, now i think i could get the river rescue out to drag the creek for me, so no kids could find it.(btw it was loaded with evil hollowpoints)

Well I was in a major head on and I asked for the officer to talk to me so he could secure my weapon. Didn't happen and my gun is gone. 146 rescue personal at the scene that I have record of. My car was hauled and left outside and it was over 5 days before I was able to have someone check for it. It was my backup so not a major deal but got me upset.
I have misplaced my 22 once or twice. Just not where I thought I put it.
Know what I am now going offline and do a quick check.
