Etiquette & "help" revisited.

We in Indiana have a bunch of State run Ranges I have 2 less than 6 miles from my home . They are nice well kept and mostly OK but I have a range in the back yard . One big reason for the range in my yard is people
that have no clue about guns and gun safety .

When I was using state ranges never a trip past that someone did something stupid with a gun . As for helping people if ask I will unless it is kids .

The close range 3 miles also has a very big campgrounds close (Half mile) The number of times I have seen a car pull up and someone dump 2/3 kids out to shoot on their own can not be counted . I have mounted scopes showing kids how to load a 22 how to point a gun safely and how to use iron sights . I spend most of my time keeping the kids from shooting me or themselves .

I'm not that nice. I would have immediately stopped doing whatever I was doing; stood up, looked the guy in the eyes and sternly said "back off....do not touch my equipment!!"

That was the reason for item (4) in the O.P.
4: If the person you're "helping" has asked you to not mess with his equipment because you've messed up his project do you think it's wise to continue helping?
My italics.
