Eric Holder to resign -

doesn't change much sure, but still worth dropping a disco ball over. That crook needed to resign years ago and Obama needs to be the very next one to do so.

44Amp had it right. These guys all need to take the walk of shame. They can spin it anyway they want, in the end he would have been relieved. I'm not so sure he will be making big bucks on the circuit. Maybe..anyone heard from Janet Reno ? The guy was a puppet.

Yup, what will happen, will happen, but for now...

We'll deal with whatever our potentate has planned after this joker hits the bricks, but he'd play his tricks regardless our position.

For all this silly talk about Holder getting on the Supreme Court, know that such a flagrantly political appointment would utterly sully an entire branch of the government beyond anyone's acceptance. It would be a declaration of open war on the Congress, and I doubt most 'party affiliated' representatives would overlook this obvious assault lying down; I think a 51-vote majority would be far more unrealistic than you guys seem to think. Even congress-critters want to feel important, and they can't do that if they willingly let the Executive subvert them utterly.

If the end-game for Holder was a SCOTUS judge, why was he not appointed the last two times? If I've learned anything over the last 6+8+4 years, it's that our supposedly clever leaders...aren't.

If Obama resigns or is impeached, who is the alternative? Biden? Would we really be better off with him running the show? Not really sure to be honest.

Seems like a darned if we do, and a darned if we don't kind of situation.

Anyway, I too found it might convenient that Eric Holder resigned shortly before the evidence was to be released. Only time will tell I suppose, all we can do is stay vigilant and report to the polls and continue harass- er urging our representatives to take action and to listen to what the people want.

It's messy as is the case with politics in most if not all cases. As for Holder becoming a judge? I sure hope we're wrong and he never makes it, or if he does, that Congress will not take to if very kindly.

We shall see.

Holder as a Supreme Court Justice? One never knows in politics, but I find it hard to believe that someone who was forced to resign as Attorney General because he was in contempt of Congress would be confirmed by the Senate.

Why? Neither the wife nor mother has any official standing or position?
Just guessing but IIRC at least one former president has asserted executive privilege for a non-employee advisor to the president. Suppose for example, one wanted outside advice on foreign affairs and consulted a former secretary of state. That may or may not be a legitimate and valid use of executive privilege. I don't know. However, I seriously doubt President Obama is seeking advice on the ATF's gun-running from Eric Holder's wife. It's laughable.

Why claim executive privilege for non-governmental employees or the spouse/family members of governmental employees? The only reason I can see it that they know something the executive branch does not wish publically disclosed.

I leave it to you (and Congressional investigators) to determine just what they might know that the Executive Branch doesn't want us to know...

I suspect the emails to mama contain no state secrets, but rather shed an embarassing light on the internal crassness of the AG office. Just like how the non incriminating Nixon tapes revealed he swore like a sailor constantly behind closed doors (Blago's wiretaps showed that, too). Since executive priveledge now covers anything embarassing (or incriminating), that's why mama and wifey are covered ;)

Time for a second select committe, methinks...

What I'm curious about are the "talking point" emails that go back to February 2011. Remember that Holder told Congress he was unaware of Fast & Furious until "a few weeks" before his testimony in May 2011.
