Ok lets put this into perspective, POW's in Vietnam were often faced with that one person who went over to the other side in exchange for preferential treatment, if they were to beat the defector the entire group was punished. Each was promised easier days if they just gave into their captors demands. If they did not give in they were punished more in attempt to break the entire groups spirit.
Now make the anology.......
S&W made their bed, they signed onto thier Faustian Bargain and now they are trying to save face with average gunowner and WHY pray tell?? Cause their ship is going down, they turne their back on their peers and on us and now they are trying to smooth it over. You and I were told that it would be a cold day in Hades before S&W gave in to Clinton and Companies demands and now they have defected in hopes of preferential treatment. If this little deal wasn't so bad why has virtually every other Gun manufacturer balked?? S&W made a bad deal, we got the raw deal and now they are trying to sell you yet another bill of goods in hopes that you will buy it. DONT! It is ALL Smoke and mirrors, this hard liner stance of Mr. Schultz's is just so much showmanship trying to woo you back. Some are all too forgiving and do it far to easily.
All that crap about sell your S&W, what does he care? They already made that profit! Your selling it or turning it into molten slag make no difference to him.
Stay steadfast in your resolve to boycott S&W, maybe the Brits will decide to sell at a loss and dump the Company, the a Company like Beretta or Glock could easily step in and reverse the problem with better management. Purchase contingent on all previously negotiated contracts are null and void. We have been collectively making a statement, one that is being heard loud and clear at the highest levels. AND IT HAS THEM WORRIED! Just say thanks but no thanks and move along. Just my .02 cents worth

...“ They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” --Benjamin Franklin, Historical Review of Pennsylvania, 1759.
Whereas, to preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them; nor does it follow from this, that all promiscuously must go into actual service on every occasion. The mind that aims at a select militia, must be influenced by a truly anti-republican principle; and when we see many men disposed to practice upon it, whenever they can prevail, no wonder true republicans are for carefully guarding against it.
