Ed Schultz of S&W Answers my E-Mail

Please note that this thread is from January.
Ed and Slick & Wesson are singing a new tune after the Saint Patrick's day massacre.

I have not heard about any E-mail responses from him or his PR flack Ken Jorgensen since that date. I guess that it is hard to defend the indefensible.

Buzz says, "... Compare what Schultz says with what the agreement says. ... running dealers out of business, forcing them to stop selling legal products, and creating abominations ... (to) protect our rights.
This is about as logical as saying that you're against abortion and then becoming a supplier of the "morning after" pill. S&W sold out. End of story."

Folks,
Don't let the S&W smokescreen hide the fact they sold us out.

They "compromise" in order for their business to be a "cash cow" for a few more years before the industry closes its doors.

As the Godfather might shrug and say, "It's only business." But to us it's our Right to Keep and Bear Arms. Therein lies the difference. Therein lies our downfall.

Right on, Buzz!

Either you believe in the Second Amendment or you don't.
Stick it to 'em! RKBA!

Lied right in our faces. He might as well have wagged his finger at us.
"I did not make a deal with that felon, Mr. Clinton."

the real truth to what smith and wesson is doing is that they want to establish s@w satalite stores across the country in an effort to controll retail pricing.this information comes from a high ranking smith @wesson insider who has proven to be correct on many occations.the truth is they dont care about the lawsuits.they are just riding the free publicity train they are getting.

Ok lets put this into perspective, POW's in Vietnam were often faced with that one person who went over to the other side in exchange for preferential treatment, if they were to beat the defector the entire group was punished. Each was promised easier days if they just gave into their captors demands. If they did not give in they were punished more in attempt to break the entire groups spirit.
Now make the anology.......

S&W made their bed, they signed onto thier Faustian Bargain and now they are trying to save face with average gunowner and WHY pray tell?? Cause their ship is going down, they turne their back on their peers and on us and now they are trying to smooth it over. You and I were told that it would be a cold day in Hades before S&W gave in to Clinton and Companies demands and now they have defected in hopes of preferential treatment. If this little deal wasn't so bad why has virtually every other Gun manufacturer balked?? S&W made a bad deal, we got the raw deal and now they are trying to sell you yet another bill of goods in hopes that you will buy it. DONT! It is ALL Smoke and mirrors, this hard liner stance of Mr. Schultz's is just so much showmanship trying to woo you back. Some are all too forgiving and do it far to easily.

All that crap about sell your S&W, what does he care? They already made that profit! Your selling it or turning it into molten slag make no difference to him.

Stay steadfast in your resolve to boycott S&W, maybe the Brits will decide to sell at a loss and dump the Company, the a Company like Beretta or Glock could easily step in and reverse the problem with better management. Purchase contingent on all previously negotiated contracts are null and void. We have been collectively making a statement, one that is being heard loud and clear at the highest levels. AND IT HAS THEM WORRIED! Just say thanks but no thanks and move along. Just my .02 cents worth

...“ They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” --Benjamin Franklin, Historical Review of Pennsylvania, 1759.

Whereas, to preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them; nor does it follow from this, that all promiscuously must go into actual service on every occasion. The mind that aims at a select militia, must be influenced by a truly anti-republican principle; and when we see many men disposed to practice upon it, whenever they can prevail, no wonder true republicans are for carefully guarding against it.
---Richard Henry Lee, The Pennsylvania Gazette, Feb. 20, 1788

Yeah, I believe him as much as I believe Comrade Klintonov, and his stooge, Alberto Goreivich. He sold us out. Smith and Wesson must DIE!!!!!

BOYCOTT SMITH AND WESSON!!!!!
The only justice for a traitor is at the end of a rope!!!!
Off my meds (quit smoking), armed to the teeth, and loose on an unsuspecting society!!!

Yeah....this is the same guy that just said "If it saves just one child's life it is worth it" when regarding to their new deal.
Does he not sound like an anti?
The guy is playing both sides of the fence. Kissing up to the anti's and politicos and trying to take control of the industry, making oversight commitees and telling dealers what they can and cannot sell, and at the same time trying to tell us that he is an avid second amendment activist.

Sure, he will never give up his guns, but he will be more than glad to regulate ours and regulate all the industry on how to design and distribute and sell their guns to us.

Do we really think Ed Schultz will ever have a "smart gun" in his bedroom?

The guy is coming across as nothing more than a Clintonian liar. Speaking with two tongues. Embracing both sides trying to tell both of them that he is on their side.
His actions speak for themselves. When he start using anti-gun bigot rhetoric about "saving one child" (with no regard for the lives that will be LOST when people can't get to their "smart guns" in time) and he starts snuggling up to the anti's and telling dealers that they can't sell "assault rifles" or "hi capacity magazines" and how they have to train their employees etc etc etc, then he is no longer on our side.

Imagine going into a shop, and out of many other examples, they tell you that they can't buy or sell your 'hi-cap" mags because Ed Schultz and Smith and Wesson tell them that they cannot. This is just one example of many of their intrusions on our Rights. They are NOT on our side.

Amazing isn't it? While Ed Schultz was sending the first e-mail back in January, he was slipping around in discreet locations in DC to strike deals and enjoying barbecue with Clinton's Brownshirts in Nashville.

If what the earlier post said is true about S&W wanting to start it's own distribution network, then that's even more of a reason to boycott them. Look at all of the distributors who have faithfully supported them all these years and made them what they used to be.

I'd be willing to bet that Beretta and Glock would'nt have Smith and Wesson even if the asking price was dirt cheap. Personally, after what they have done to us, I hope that they go out of business permanently----creating a living testament to what happens when red-blooded, law-abiding Americans are betrayed. Remember in November.

Folks, the S&W is more than just a sell-out. It is an ominous reminder of the fact that we have an administration in power that could care less about the our system of government and the will of We the People.

"When guns are outlawed;I will be an outlaw."

I, too, have many fond memories of shooting fine products made in the past by S&W...

But my beloved company is GONE. They are gone, and they are dead to me. I shall grieve threir passing, and be ill at the pretenders who would have me believe that my favorite old gun company is yet alive. No. It is a husk. Without a soul. I will be glad to see it buried.

Help bury this corpse; they stink up the place. Have no sentiment over what now exists before us; it's just rotting away in all its repugnancy.

We can take some pride when, 20 years from now, we point to the penalty that was invoked on the company that sold us out. If the all-mighty dollar is so damned important, they can jolly well pay attention to the desires of their customers. Trust? My goodness, no. Just the purest form of the free market at work!

A long time ago I posted on to this board a message from S&W that stated that they were not and had no intentions of dealing with the Clinton Admin. Therefore I must belive that they LIED to ME, and I will gladly forgive them when the appologize to ME and return to the stance that the said would be theirs.

I Own 3 S&W's and I will not get rid of them but I will NOT be adding any to my collection that are new (anything from WWII I consider to be made by S&W not Tomkins PLC.)

The whole thing makes me ill.
I own a 22a pistol that I really like. I had nothing but good service when I owned my sw 380, and I liked that gun, too. It was my first decent power carry gun and did all I asked of it.
This is a bad omen, the blackmailing of America.
I am not a smoker, in fact I wish smoking was never discovered. Yet it is a perfectly legal activity. I respect the right of all smokers to do just that as long as I have an option to not be around it. But if it causes them problems down the road, don't blame the tobacco companies!
The government is tightening the screws on the tobacco companies for something smokers CHOOSE to do. Legal blackmail again. As I have posted before, I lost a beloved sister to lung cancer in 1995, and I believe it came from smoking all those years. But I am not going to sue someone over something she chose to do that was perfectly legal.

I also have an opinion on the Microsoft anti-trust thing. I may get flamed, go ahead it is an OPINION.
I think it is an abomination the way Bill Gates has been treated. Here is a guy who designed, manufactured, and marketed a great product. He also brought the power of the Internet to millions of people and and is one of the world's foremost designers of software. Face it, the guy is good! And for all his efforts, what does he get? The GOVERNMENT stepping in and telling him he is too good, and he has cornered the market and left the little guys out in the cold. This is not right, they say, you are too big.
I have a real problem with this. What kind of message does this send to the future brain trust of our country? How many kids will think twice about having the drive and the vision to step foreward and be the best? They may think, "hell, the government will just cause me problems if I am too good"
A little off topic, and maybe a little imaginitave but I just can't stand big government doing this kind of crap under the guise of a guardian angel.

Let me get this straight: Old Ed cuts a deal that lets him get lucrative govt. contracts (over his competitors), forces extra-legal govt. control on S&W distributors AND ALL their buyers, "jumpstarts" the MD Smartgun law (acc. Gov. Glendenning), is praised and defended by Clinton and HUD guru Cuomo, hides behind the anti-trust lawsuits he brought down on those who DIDN'T capitulate, , and much much more BUT....He emails you and you fold? "Oh, geez, sorry Ed. What were we thinking, buddy? Hey, there's some cold Chinese food in the fridge, help yourself old pal. Would you please let us buy your ****ty 2nd-rate handguns? The stench of Judas is MUCH more palatable after those emails. What was that part about your fighting the good fight with us, man, that's good stuff. Anyone got a Kleenex?". Did you ever see those women on Hiraldo who keep going back to the abusive Loser they're married to? Rationalize if you want to. But don't tell anyone besides yourselves that you aren't selling out too, if you violate the boycott. The word the Teamsters used for this was "scabs". Unbelievable.
