EAA Witness ???

Thanks all for the replies!!

Please bear in mind that is primarily for my g/f, not me(unfortunately).

Have looked at the CZP09. Really nice gun, good feel, but the reach to the trigger is too far for my g/f.

Also bear in mind that she's not looking for a compact, concealed carry. More a mid/full size. My 1911 with the short trigger fits her well, she just doesn't like the recoil.

I showed her the Witness Pavona, because I thought it would fit her well(it did), and that it came in different colors. My thinking was that she would like it more "personalized". To which she told me that the colors were more a distraction to her. Go figure..

If trigger reach is an issue, look at the Witness MATCH series. It's single action only so less reach and lower pull needed. They are also heavy so recoil is less, but the weight may be an issue for her holding it. Just another option to thunk about.

CZ P-09 trigger reach is easily fixed by Cajun Gun Works in Monroe, LA. Gunsmith Dave rocks.
The Baby Eagles were originally manufactured with slides and frames from Tanfoglio of Italy, then finished in Israel. That information came from Tanfoglio back in the day, and also applied to the Jericho 941. The Sarsilmaz pistol is unique in that Sarsilmaz used to be a Tanfolgio distributor, than decided to make their own version, which we know as the AR-24. So that gun actually is a clone of a clone. The Kliniq versions, not so sure.
I carried an EAA Witness for years, and it was a good, solid serviceable sidearm, wouldn't be upset carrying it again. Having said that, I went to the original CZ years ago and never looked back.

I had both a Tanfoglio Witness P-S (Small Frame - often erroneously listed as a "P Carry", which is a separate, yet similar model) and Sarsilmaz K2P that I enjoyed, but sold off only to fund other needs. Both were accurate right out of the box, well balanced, and IMO, were very good, inexpensive purchases.

Here's the first mag through each right out of the box on their first range trip:

yup, that's what I'm talk'n bout!!! :D
Nice shoot'n!!

Was going to sell/trade my first gen Hi-Point 40S&W to help fund it. Had some bullets to load up, so decided to take it to the range for one last fling.

Ran flawlessly, and put slightly bigger grouping than the pic you have at 25yards, but with 50 shots.

I want to not like it, so I don't feel bad getting rid of it... Figures!!

Can I get a witness?

I own and shoot these pistols: H&K, Sig, Remington, S&W, Ruger, Paraordinance, Sar, Colt, Thompson Contender, Witness, and a couple of others. The three that gets shot the most are Witness, Sig, and Ruger. The one pistol that gets shot the most is Witness. All of my pistols are well made and shoot good. Some are extremely well made and shoot excellent. I love my Sig 226 X5 L1. It is beautiful and shoots great but my Witness Limited nudges it out just a little when it comes to shooting. The low bore axis of the Witness and the hand grip size and shape are just hard to beat. My Witness P9S is light weight and easy to carry and shoots good. It rides on my hip every morning at the farm on my daily walks. There are a lot of great pistols out there and Witness is one of them for me.

Don't overlook the Turks! The Sarsilmaz SAR that EAA also imports, and the Tristar imported by TriStar Sporting Arms, Ltd.
Both, like the Witness, are CZ75 copies.
Been looking at those and the prices are great! Can get the 45 full size ( Sarsilmaz 4.5" I think) for
$425 with the steel frame!

I've had several Witness guns and several other Tanfoglio made guns over the last 20 years or so. All have been great with zero issues, except a couple of mags had to be cleaned out to work. Currently, I have a full sized Witness .45 in Wonder Finish, and a compact and full sized "Mossad" 9mms, which is a relabled TA/90. I bought them as kind of just a goof, but I really like them. The full sized "Mossad" gun has about the best slide fit I've ever seen.
