Durability&Longevity of aluminum alloy frame pistols (Taurus PT 92/Beretta 92)

I dont trust the brazilian finish.

Maybe the darn Thing starts to rust if I flush it with brake cleaner or other strong chemical.

Most likely this pistol is not genuine stainless steel but rather some paint or plating.
Every Taurus Agent tells me another Story about the materials used in the gun (I believe they tell the customers stories according to what they guess will make the customer happy).

I would really want to know if someone else had light primer strikes with this model and what was the cause.

I tried to flush the firing pin channel with very thin sewing machine oil and it seemed to dilute a bit the grease. Over time the grease will loose anyways a bit it's sticky property.

Flushing out grease with oil is not going to solve this.

The cause is you applying too much grease, as you describe:

However I am still not 100% sure what caused really the Problem of the light firing pin strike.
Sure is it started after I covered almost the entire gun in and outside with this grease spray.
If the weather gets a bit cold then it became almost as sticky as half past dried paint.

Brake cleaner will remove the lubricant and the grease. It won't cause instant rust and it shouldn't remove the finish. Make sure it's non-chlorinated. The firing pin channel itself shouldn't rust from the brake cleaner. You can wipe it off anywhere else it applies with an oiled cloth.

Regards the rubber O Ring as an shok buff.

I used it after diluting the grease with thinner oil. Seemed not to hinder the function of the gun.
However the missfire may be due to sligth out of battery issues.
I had greased the locking lug as well with its unlocking pin.

The O Ring certainlydoes its job. No more “clack“ when racking the slide but rather a soft bump.
