I would look at the ALG AK trigger instead of the tapco.

Depends on his budget. The Tapco G2 is a very good trigger for the money. It may be the one worthwhile product Tapco makes.

Just curious as to what the ballistics are of 7.62 out of that barrel?

Regarding muzzle velocity if wiki is to be believed...
M92 10 inch barrel MV = 2,224 ft/s

Back when I was growing up - the Remington XP100 bolt action pistol was nothing to sneeze at. These AR & AK pistols are pretty similar just faster shooting.

I gave upon trying to stain the stock after several attempts. It just won't take on the stain in spots. Still a cool pistol in my opinion.

I stained the wood on the 11" DRACO...looks better now. Got 2 more Bakelite mags coming too.
