Dove season! What's your dove gun?

If we get to go

It'll be my new Beretta AL-391 Urika 20ga. Still looking around for an opportunity to go, though. If not, it'll be my duck-duck-goose gun this fall ;)

My 28" barrelled, 10 year old el cheapo Maverick 88! Been bustin' critters with it for years. It's lightweight, reliable, and weatherproof... perfect field gun IMO. The low-dough price tag makes it even better.

[edit] Although.. I may take my 835 this year too and give it a go. Couldn't hurt to have a backup on a 3-day hunt!

Here you go FirstFreedom...my first dove hunt some 20 years ago with the same 1100 sitting in my closet. I don't know, I might take my father's Citori out of retirement if I get a chance this year.

remington sportsman 3-shot model 11 12 ga., and a hogue pad (those old recoil-operated guns work great and never need cleaning, but they'll pound ya!)

The BSS 12ga . with 7.5 Win AA worked pretty good! I limited with only a couple dropped shots and was back in camp drinking by 10am! We ate them bitter things for lunch!:barf: Sobered up by 3pm and drove the 2 hours + home:D
Next time I will use my Winchester 101 20 gauge with some Federal #8 Trap loads I have hanging around. If I do half way decent the last shoot will be with my Citori .410 Skeet gun, for fun!

Stoeger condor o/u in 20 ga. Got my limit in about an hour and half, used Impcl/mod. 7 1/2 7/8 oz. remington (box and a half to get my ten), I know that's alot of shells, but It is just my 3rd season and I'm getting better.

I've shot 870's for 25 years. This year I picked up a cheap 1100 and shot it. I had a pretty good grip on the forearm the first couple of shots. I picked up a Charles Daly light 20 for my wife and fell in love with it. Now I'm looking for another lt 20 for myself and another for her for a slug gun. after 30 years she's finally finding the fun in shooting.
